abstract Disclosed is a method for producing reduced iron. In the method for producing reduced iron according to the present invention, a method for manufacturing reduced iron in which iron ore is charged into a reducing furnace and a reducing gas is blown therein, the iron ore charged in the reducing furnace has a sulfur (S) content based on the total iron ore mass ratio. Solid sulfur compounds are mixed so as to be 0.1 to 1%, and the reducing gas is characterized in that the pressure range is 1 atm or more.
