titleOfInvention | Vulcanized Rubber Belt |
abstract | The present invention relates to a vulcanized rubber CVT belt in the form of an endless V belt having a belt body, wherein the belt body comprises an angled side, a tension cord layer of an helically spiraled cord embedded in the belt body, an overcord rubber layer and an underscore. A tensile cord is a torsional single tow bundle of continuous filament carbon fibers impregnated by adhesive treatment and / or overcoated with an adhesive that is compatible with the rubber of the tensile cord layer. Toe may be 18K. The carbon fibers may have a filament diameter of about 6.0 microns to about 6.4 microns, a Young's modulus of about 200 microns to about 300 microns and an elongation at break of about 1.9 to about 2.3 percent. |
