abstract The lanthanum-doped strontium titanate is combined with a heterovalent valence transition metal to form a precursor composition, and the precursor composition is sintered to form a linking material. The heterovalent transition metal is an electron-acceptor dopant such as manganese, nickel, cobalt or iron; Electron-donor dopants such as niobium or tungsten. A linker comprising a lanthanum-doped strontium titanate further doped with a dissimilar atom transition metal may be contained in a solid oxide fuel cell, or a strontium titanate varistor, or a strontium titanate capacitor.
