abstract | The present invention relates to a negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery having the same. The negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery of the present invention includes a silicon alloy containing silicon and at least one metal other than the silicon and capable of alloying with lithium, and the volume of the inactive phase region which does not react with lithium in the silicon alloy is an active material. 50 to 75% of the total volume. Although the negative electrode active material of the present invention has a higher capacity than the carbon-based negative electrode active material, it has a low volume expansion and a high capacity retention rate after charge and discharge, and thus has excellent cycle characteristics. |
