abstract | An object of the present invention is to form a photo alignment film having a high anchoring strength in an IPS type liquid crystal display device to suppress AC afterimage of a liquid crystal display device. In the alignment film material subjected to the photo alignment treatment, a rigid polymeric polyimide and a flexible polymeric polyimide are mixed and used. This material according to the present invention is likely to cause rotation of the oligomer after irradiation with polarized ultraviolet light and can improve the UV absorption two-color ratio of the alignment film. Therefore, the anchoring strength with respect to the liquid crystal by the alignment film is strong, and the AC afterimage can be suppressed. |
