abstract |
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for sequestering carbon dioxide from top gas fuel and reusing it as a regeneration gas without fear of exhaust gas. Gas sources are divided into process gas and top gas fuel. The process gas is mixed with hydrocarbons and fed to the reformer to form a reducing gas. At least a portion of the top gas fuel is fed to the carbon dioxide scrubber while forming carbon dioxide lean gas mixed with the reducing gas. Optionally, the gas source and reducing gas are associated with a direct reduction process to convert iron oxide to metal iron. |
