titleOfInvention Method for producing 3,7-dimethyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6-dione of high purity
abstract The present invention relates to a process for preparing 3,7-dimethyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6-dione as an antitussive agent. More specifically, (a) suspending 3-methylxanthine in a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, lower alcohols (C1 to C4), and mixtures of water and lower alcohols (C1 to C4), and (b ) A high-purity 3,7-dimethyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6 that is capable of mass production at low cost, including the step of methylating the suspension with a methylating agent in the presence of a base. It is about the manufacturing method of dione.
