Use of JPRP signaling genes IRRE1 and HHL1 for the treatment of fungal infections or meningitis |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the use of the UPR signaling genes Ire1 and Hxl1 for the treatment of fungal infections or meningitis. More specifically, it has been newly reported that when the function of Ire1 and Hxl1 ( H AC1 and X BP1 L ike gene 1) proteins and genes encoding them are deteriorated in cryptococcus neoformans, the antibacterial or meningitis treatment is effective . Based on this, it is possible to provide a pharmaceutical composition having a novel antimicrobial or meningitis treatment effect by screening a candidate substance having a synergistic effect when it is co-administered with a conventional antimicrobial agent or a therapeutic agent for meningitis. |
