titleOfInvention | Method for Purifying Proteins Containing Fc Region |
abstract | The present invention is directed to a polypeptide having an Fc region, such as an antibody or fusion, by adsorbing a polypeptide to an Fc binder such as Protein A or Protein G, followed by washing with a divalent cation salt buffer to remove impurities and then recovering the adsorbed polypeptide. Provided are methods for purifying antibodies. The invention also features the introduction of methods within the purification sequence as well as methods for eluting purified polypeptides. Kits are also provided that include instructions for carrying out the method and instructions for use. |
