abstract | PURPOSE: Surface-modified zinc oxide nano particles and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance efficiency of an organic photo conductor etc. CONSTITUTION: Surface-modified zinc oxide nano particles include zinc oxide nano particles, a ligand with a pyridine structure integrated with the nano particles and a metal porphyrin dye, indicated as the following chemical formula 1, connected with the ligand as a co-ordinate bond. The surface of the zinc oxide nano particles has a structure in which alkyl thiol of the carbon number 1-6 connects with the remaining part of the ligand connection on the surface to produce a film. A zinc oxidate nano particle has the length of the shortening direction10-30 nm and the length of the axis direction of 50-350 nm. A manufacturing method of the surface-modified zinc oxide nano particles comprises the steps of: mixing the alkyl thiol of the carbon number 1 -6 and zinc oxide nano particle, heating and stirring for 30-100 minutes at 50-80°C, mixing the heated stirred zinc oxide nano particle and ligand material with the pyridine structure, heating and stirring for 30-100 minutes at 50-80°C and stirring the heated and stirred zinc oxide nano particle with a dye indicated as the following chemical formula 1. |
