abstract A lithium secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution in which a solute is dissolved in a non-aqueous solvent, wherein the positive electrode active material in the positive electrode contains a lithium manganese composite oxide having a spinel structure, and at least nickel. It consists of a lithium transition metal complex oxide having a structure, and a lithium salt containing an oxalato complex as an anion is added to the nonaqueous electrolyte.
