The present invention comprises treating a composite pretreatment layer with a metal surface, in particular by treating with a composition comprising at least one binder, a crosslinking agent, a fine particle inorganic filler, and a compound comprising at least two thioamide groups or containing at least one thioamide group and at least one functional group. A method of applying to a strip metal surface. The invention also relates to a composite pretreatment layer obtained by the process of the invention. |
