The electroluminescent device of the present invention comprises a cathode and an anode and has a light emitting layer (LEL) therebetween, an electron-transporting layer (ETL) on the cathode side of the LEL, and an organic electron adjacent to the ETL on the cathode side. Further contains an injection layer (EIL), wherein the ETL contains a monoanthracene compound having aromatic groups in the 2-, 9- and 10-positions. |
