abstract The concentration correlation physical quantity in the lithium ion secondary battery which can measure the density | concentration of lithium ion of the electrolyte solution of a predetermined site, the assembled battery using this, the vehicle equipped with this assembled battery, the battery mounting apparatus, and the lithium ion secondary battery are acquired. It is an object of the present invention to provide a battery system and a method for detecting degradation of a lithium ion secondary battery. The lithium ion secondary battery 1 includes a power generation element 20 having a positive electrode plate 21 and a negative electrode plate 22, a battery case 10 containing accommodating the power generation element, and lithium held in the battery case. Electrolyte solution 30, 30H, 30S containing an ion is provided, and the physical quantity measuring means M1 which can measure the concentration correlation physical quantity which has a correlation with the density | concentration of the lithium ion of the electrolyte solution which exists in a predetermined site | part is provided.
