abstract |
An absorbent article is disclosed having an absorbent composite comprising a stretchable substrate and a layer of adhesive composition in contact with the stretchable substrate. The layer of particulate superabsorbent material is retained with the adhesive composition applied. The absorbent composite is secured to the substrate by the adhesive composition. The stretchable substrate has a recovery rate measured by the stretching and recovery test in at least one of the transverse and longitudinal directions of the article, and the absorbent article is measured by the stretching and recovery test in at least one of the transverse and longitudinal directions of the substrate. The recovery rate is at least about 60% of the recovery rate in at least one of the transverse and longitudinal directions.n n n n Absorbent Composites, Recovery Rate, Adhesive Compositions, Superabsorbent Materials, Absorbent Articles |
