abstract | The present invention relates to a non-aqueous carbon dioxide absorbent comprising secondary alkanolamines and diols in which steric hindrance is introduced. The carbon dioxide absorbent according to the present invention not only shows excellent absorption power and fast absorption rate compared with the absorbent based on the conventional alkanolamine-based aqueous solution, but also significantly lowers the absorbent regeneration temperature compared with the conventional absorbent, thus requiring the absorption process. It is possible to greatly reduce the overall energy consumption, and to prevent the recovered CO 2 from being contaminated with moisture and absorbent vapor. |
