abstract | This invention provides the manufacturing method of the high purity active silicic acid aqueous solution which has a high removal effect of metallic impurities contained in alkali silicate, and very little content of metallic impurities. According to the method of the present invention, an aqueous silicic acid solution containing a chelating agent is mixed with an aqueous silicic acid solution by mixing a chelating agent having a nitrogen atom or a phosphorus atom with an active silicic acid solution, or with an aqueous alkali silicate solution.
