| abstract | According to the present invention, a method of rectifying a mixture of high boiling air sensitive and / or temperature sensitive materials which requires high separation efficiency, in particular a workup of a VE- or VEA-containing product stream, is proposed. The process receives, in the first purification step, non-specific isomers of low-boiling products and useful products with little loss of useful material from the product stream, and in the second purification step, the useful products have a purity of> 97% by weight. Removal from one stream with an additional stream with a purity of> 92% by weight. A preferred embodiment of the present invention provides a method for workup of VEA, wherein the loss of useful product in the first purification step is less than 5% based on the amount of VEA in the feed amount added to the purification step per unit time.
