The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing fully automatic synthesis of radioactive compounds for imaging in a rapid, efficient and compact manner, for example by positron emission tomography (PET). In particular, various embodiments of the present invention produce purified PET radiotracers in a shorter time than conventional chemical systems, using target water as a starting material, and on a microfluidic device in which gas flow through the reactor is unlimited. Provides automated, standalone hands-free operation of the entire radiosynthesis cycle. Thus, one aspect of the present invention is a reaction chamber, one or more flow channels connected to such a reaction chamber, one or more vents connected to the reaction chamber, and one or more integrated valves for performing flow control into and out of the reaction chamber. It relates to a microfluidic chip for radiosynthesis of a radiolabeled compound comprising a. |
