titleOfInvention | Novel Esterase Gene |
abstract | The present invention relates to a novel esterase gene isolated from the metagenome of compost and a novel esterase expressed from said gene. The novel esterase of the present invention exhibits maximum activity at 50 ° C. and pH 10.0, and the enzymatic activity is not affected by cations except Cu 2+ , and methanol can be added to amplify the enzyme activity. Fatty acid bonds are hydrolyzed efficiently and have no properties of β-lactamase hydrolysis activity. The novel esterases of the present invention not only are stable in the presence of methanol, but also exhibit excellent activity, and thus may be widely used in detergents, dairy, paper, pesticides and paper industry. |
