A charge-transporting organic material containing the compound which has a 1, 4- dithiine ring represented by following General formula (1). By using the thin film made of the organic material among low molecular weight organic electroluminescent (OLED) devices and high molecular weight organic electroluminescent (PLED) devices, EL device characteristics such as low driving voltage and high luminous efficiency can be improved. . In addition, the charge transport varnish containing the compound having a 1,4-ditidine ring represented by the following general formula (1) has good processability, and the thin film obtained therefrom has a high charge transport property and thus is applied to the capacitor electrode protective film.
