Glucose Transport Mutants for Biomaterial Preparation |
abstract |
A method of restoring the Glu + phenotype to PTS − / Glu − bacterial cells that is originally available for phosphotransferase transport systems (PTS) for carbohydrate transport is disclosed. Bacterial cells comprising the Glu + phenotype have altered endogenous chromosomal regulatory regions operably linked to polynucleotides encoding galactose permease and glucokinase. |
