abstract | The present invention relates to a method and means for ascertaining the authenticity and authenticity of a solid or liquid bulk material, which is possible by incorporating a marking composition containing one or more traces of ions into the bulk material, into the commercially available bulk material. The total concentration of traces of ions to be incorporated is chosen to be lower than the same corresponding ions in standard seawater. The authenticity and authenticity or alteration level of the marked bulk material can be tested in situ using an electrochemical sensor and confirmed in the laboratory using methods such as atomic absorption spectroscopy, ion chromatography or mass spectroscopy. |
