The oral care instrument provided with the handle includes a head having a tissue cleanser. The tissue cleanser is a pad made of elastomeric material. The pad is disposed on the head on a surface opposite the tooth cleaning element. The tissue cleanser includes a plurality of nubs that are elongated to wash between the taste buds of the tongue. The tissue cleanser includes a plurality of conical nubs.
