abstract |
The present invention provides a method for preparing sterile aripiprazole having an average particle size of less than 100 microns but greater than 25 microns using the impingement jet crystallization method. The resulting desired particle sized bulk aripiprazole can be used to form a freeze-dried sterile aripiprazole formulation that consists of water and releases aripiprazole over a period of at least about 1 week to about 8 weeks upon intramuscular injection. . n n Sterile aripiprazole, impingement jet crystallization, average particle size, jet stream. |
