titleOfInvention | Ultra-High Sensitivity DNA Sequencing System |
abstract | The present invention relates to a structure of a system for analyzing nucleotide sequences of Deoxyribo-Nucleic Acid (DNA) in a high speed and real time using a single electron transistor (SET). Deoxyribonucleic acid is the aggregate of genetic information and consists of nucleotide units. There are four kinds of nucleotides, each of which has the same pentose (deoxyribose), four different bases (Adenine (A), Guanine (G), Cytosine (C) , Thymine (T)). A and G are Purine with two cyclic structures, and C and T are Pyrimidine with one cyclic structure. Each has a different atomic arrangement, which means different charge distributions. Therefore, the high-speed sequence of deoxyribonucleic acid can be achieved by using a system consisting of a single-electron transistor that is very sensitive to charge, a very small probe that responds effectively to only one nucleotide, and an extended gate that connects the single-electron transistor to the probe. Can be analyzed in real time. n n Deoxyribonucleic acid, base sequence |
