Selective Zeolite Catalyst Variation |
abstract |
The method of modifying the zeolite catalyst to increase the selectivity of the catalyst is obtained by dissolving alumina in a phosphoric acid-containing acid solution and processing the solution in which the alumina is dissolved together with the zeolite. Processes for preparing aromatic products such as xylene products can also be obtained by contacting aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene and alkylating agents such as methanol with modified zeolite catalysts under reaction conditions suitable for aromatic alkylation. The aromatic hydrocarbon for the xylene product will be toluene and the reaction conditions will be suitable for at least one of toluenemethylation and transalkylation.n n n n Zeolite Catalyst, Xylene, Aromatic Hydrocarbons, Alkylating Agent |
