titleOfInvention | Effervescent starch beads and preparation method thereof |
abstract | The present invention provides effervescent starch beads and a method of preparation comprising a starch-monomer copolymer and a blowing agent. The present invention also provides a foam obtained by molding the starch beads. The present invention also provides a method for producing a foam using the bead foaming equipment with the prepared foamed starch beads. The expandable starch beads according to the present invention are prepared by containing a blowing agent in the starch-monomer copolymer and are similar to the expandable polystyrene beads, so that foams having a specific shape can be prepared using existing expandable polystyrene bead foaming equipment. Foam produced by the present invention has an environmentally friendly advantage that is destroyed by microorganisms in the soil when disposed. In addition, it is possible to use a variety of forms, such as styrofoam can be used in small and medium packaging as well as large packaging. |
