titleOfInvention | Polymer Composite Fiber Coatings and Methods for Immersion Rubber Articles |
abstract | The present invention provides a process for producing an elastomeric article, in particular for industrial or household gloves, comprising preparing a non-woven fibrous polymer composition for layered dip coating of the carboxylated acrylonitrile-butadiene elastomer surface. A useful elastomeric article is prepared by immersing the molding sphere in a salt based coagulant, followed by immersion in an elastomeric dispersion, and finally in a polymer composite fiber coating. The present invention also provides an elastomeric article having a first layer comprising a natural or synthetic polymer and a second layer adhered to the first layer, comprising a polymeric composite fiber coating. Polymeric composite fiber coatings include one or more elastomers or elastomer blends, fibers or fiber blends, surfactants, and micronized waxes. The coating can be foamed and provide the user with improved sweat handling and non-shedding properties.n n n n Elastomers, Fibers, Immersion Coatings, Foaming, Surfactants, Micronized Waxes, Layers, Dispersions, Molds, Coagulants, Curing Agents |
