abstract The nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to the present invention includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes an active material having a lithium ion insertion potential of 0.4 V (relative to Li / Li + ), a conductive agent, and a current collector supporting the active material and the conductive agent. The conductive agent contains a carbonaceous material. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a first sultone having an unsaturated hydrocarbon functional group. The diameter distribution of the voids of the negative electrode as measured by a mercury porosity meter has a first peak having a mode diameter of 0.01 to 0.2 μm and a second peak having a mode diameter of 0.003 to 0.02 μm.
