abstract The metabolic flows affecting the production of substances using cells are: 1) creating stoichiometric matrices based on biochemical reactions ranging from substrates to the desired product, and 2) independent of the number of degrees of freedom and equality of stoichiometric matrices from all metabolic flows. Select the metabolic flow as a free flow, 3) generate a random combination of a sufficient number of free flows for statistical analysis, calculate the metabolic flow distribution from each generated combination based on the stoichiometric matrix, and 4) calculate the calculated metabolism. A regression equation comprising a minimum number of free streams correlated with the mass production from the flow distribution is obtained by multivariate statistical analysis, and 5) one or more metabolic flows that affect the mass production based on the coefficients in the obtained regression equation.
