titleOfInvention | Aldehyde Dehydrogenase Gene |
abstract | The present invention relates to novel DNA encoding aldehyde dehydrogenase (SNDH), expression vectors containing said DNA, and recombinant organisms containing said DNA. Moreover, the present invention provides a method for producing a recombinant aldehyde dehydrogenase protein and 2-keto-L-gulonic acid from L-sorbosone by using a recombinant organism containing the recombinant aldehyde dehydrogenase protein, or an expression vector. A method for producing (2-KGA) and / or L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Also provided is a method of producing 2-KGA using microorganisms in which the gene encoding the aldehyde dehydrogenase has been disrupted. |
