abstract | The present invention relates to a composition for silica soda lime glass containing the following colorant whose content varies within the following defined weights. I.e. 0.01 to 0.14 Fe 2 O 3 (full iron), 40 to 150 ppm CoO and 200 to 700 ppm NiO. The weight ratio NiO / CoO varies from 3.5 to 6. The glass of the invention has a total light transmission (TL D65 ) of 20 to 60% in light source D 65 as measured for a thickness of 6 mm. Also described are glass sheets, which may be heat treated and made from the compositions of the present invention, and in particular building glazings comprising at least one of the sheets. |
