titleOfInvention Biosynthetic Matrix and Uses thereof
abstract A bio-synthetic matrix is provided comprising a hydrogel formed by crosslinking a synthetic polymer and a bio-polymer. The matrix is robust, biocompatible, non-cytotoxic, and can support growing cells in vivo. The matrix may further be tailored to include one or more bioactive agents. The matrix can also include cells encapsulated and dispersed therein, which can propagate on the deposition of the matrix in vivo. Methods of making bio-synthetic matrices, and the use of in vivo matrices in tissue engineering or drug delivery applications, are also provided.n n n Bio-synthetic matrix, synthetic polymer, bio-polymer
