abstract | Techniques for making cross-structures of nanostructures such as nanowires and carbon nanotubes are provided. According to one embodiment, a method of fabricating cross-structures of nanostructures includes providing a substrate, patterning a first mask layer on the substrate, first surface regions of the substrate where the first mask layer is not present. Under conditions effective to adsorb nanostructures, remove the first mask layer from the substrate, pattern the second mask layer on the substrate to which the first nanostructures are adsorbed, and to fabricate cross-structures of nanostructures, Adsorbing the second nanostructures to surface regions of the substrate where the second mask layer is not present. |
