abstract It is an application | coating device which print-coats the coating liquid containing organic electroluminescent material on a board | substrate. The coating device includes a mounting table, a plate cylinder, a printing plate, a coating liquid supply unit, and a relative moving means. The mounting table mounts the substrate on the upper surface thereof. The printing plate is wound around the outer circumferential surface of the plate copper and provided with a convex pattern corresponding to the pattern to be printed and coated on the surface thereof, and a dot-like concave-convex surface for holding the coating liquid on the upper surface of the convex pattern. The coating liquid supply unit supplies the coating liquid to the surface of the printing plate. The relative movement means relatively moves the mounting table and the plate cylinder while rotating the plate cylinder about the shaft center in a state where the upper surface of the substrate and the printing plate are brought into close contact or abutment. The uneven surface is formed so that the holding amount holding the coating liquid decreases with respect to the printing direction of the printing plate which the relative moving means sequentially faces the upper surface of the substrate.
