The present invention relates to a medical prosthetic device whose surface comprises a metal material such as titanium or an alloy thereof whose surface is coated with a layer of hydroxide material such as titanium hydroxide. Preferably, the hydroxide layer is interconnected with one or more biomolecular materials. The invention also relates to a method for the electrolytic manufacture of a medical prosthetic device. |
