titleOfInvention Method for measuring laboratory animal EBE using thin-film multi-channel microelectrode and microelectrode for laboratory animal EB measurement
abstract A novel, elastic, biocompatible and microfabricated multichannel microelectrode and microelectrode based method for recording multichannel EEG from laboratory animals including mice are disclosed. The microelectrode may have 32 write electrodes including two ground electrodes. The connector for signal transmission easily connects the microelectrode to the signal acquisition device, and the total weight of the microelectrode does not exceed 150 mg including the connector. Electroencephalography (EGE) in brains of experimental animals, including mice, offers the advantage of monitoring the condition of the brain in free movement after genetic or molecular manipulation. The implantation of the microelectrode does not require surgery, and experimental animals can be easily separated from the wires while not recording EEG. The microelectrode can successfully collect wideband EEG signals from the skull, and multichannel EEG is effective for monitoring the spatiotemporal pattern of brain activity in laboratory animals.n n n n Electroencephalogram (EEG), laboratory animals, mouse, thin film, microelectrode, polyimide, multichannel, non-invasive, seizures
