The present invention relates to thermoplastic polymer compositions useful in greenhouse films for improving plant growth or general bio-mass production. The present invention also provides a method for improving plant growth in a greenhouse by incorporating a photoactive additive into a greenhouse film together with a light stabilizer and a condensation product of dialkylamino benzaldehyde and barbituric acid in a polymerizable greenhouse film with a light stabilizer.
