titleOfInvention Polarizing plate with improved dichroic ratio and liquid crystal display having the same
abstract Disclosed are a polarizing plate having an improved dichroic ratio and a liquid crystal display device having the same. The disclosed polarizing plate comprises a polarizing film comprising an oriented liquid crystal and at least one dichroic dye dispersed between the liquid crystals and oriented in the same direction as the liquid crystal, wherein the dichroic ratio of the polarizing film is 40 or more.n n n Accordingly, the disclosed polarizing plate and the liquid crystal display device having the same may have a high dichroic ratio, thereby exhibiting a high degree of polarization and improving UV resistance.
