titleOfInvention | Display device and driving method thereof |
abstract | By realizing a simple matrix drive, the device configuration can be simplified and the cost can be reduced. It is an electrochemical display apparatus which displays using electrochemical precipitation and melting of a metal. It is driven by the simple matrix drive system and uses the precipitation overvoltage at the time of depositing metal ions as metal as a threshold in simple matrix drive. In addition, a drive voltage shall be 2 times or less of precipitation overvoltage. The electrochemical display device has a transparent electrode and a counter electrode, and the display is performed by depositing and dissolving a metal on the transparent electrode, so that the potential difference between the metal deposited on the transparent electrode and the counter electrode is set to be less than the precipitation overvoltage. Ideally, the same metal as the metal which precipitates in the counter electrode is used.n n n n Precipitation, Melting, Simple Matrix Driving, Metal Ions, Precipitation Overvoltage |
