abstract It is possible to use inexpensive metal materials such as Cu and Ni as the electrode material, thereby suppressing the decrease in high temperature electrical resistance and the electromechanical coupling coefficient kr.n n n A piezoelectric ceramic composition mainly composed of a composite oxide containing Pb, Ti, and Zr as a constituent element. At least 1 sort (s) chosen from Mn, Co, Cr, Fe, Ni is contained as a 1st subcomponent. Content of a 1st subcomponent is 0.2 mass% or less (but 0 is not included) in conversion of oxide. Alternatively, for the first auxiliary component it contains at least one type of component represented by CuO x (x≥0). Content of the 1st subcomponent in this case is 3.0 mass% or less (but 0 is not included) in CuO conversion. The piezoelectric ceramic composition is fired under reducing firing conditions.
