titleOfInvention | Antibodies against cancer |
abstract | An isolated binding partner of an antigen present in a Crypto-1 protein, Pim-1 protein or colon cancer cell eluate is disclosed. The binding partner is also used in anticancer agents to inhibit the proliferation of one or more cancer cell types and to treat a subject with cancer of the subject. Binding partners are also used in methods of inducing apoptosis in cancer cells and methods for inducing cancer cells' susceptibility to cytotoxic compounds. In addition, an antigen present in a Crypto-1 protein (or antigenic fragment thereof), a Pim-1 protein (or antigenic fragment thereof) or colon cancer cell eluate, or separately, or a Crypto-1 protein (or antigenic fragment thereof), Also described are cancer vaccines comprising an expressible DNA molecule encoding an antigen present in a Pim-1 protein (or antigenic fragment thereof) or colon cancer cell eluate. |
