abstract | The problem to be solved by the present invention is a medium boiling point required for the production of high-quality and high-performance polycarbonate, using as a raw material a reaction mixture containing an alkylaryl carbonate obtained by a transesterification reaction of a dialkyl carbonate and an aromatic monohydroxy compound. And an industrially useful concrete method capable of stably producing a high-purity diaryl carbonate having a low boiling point of impurity content for a long time. Although many proposals have been made on the production of reaction mixtures containing aromatic carbonates by reaction distillation, etc., high purity diaryl carbonates which can be used as raw materials for high quality and high performance polycarbonates can be stably and continuously produced for a long time. As a result of extensive studies to find a specific method, it was found that a method of distilling and separating in a specific order using the three distillation columns achieves the above problems, and thus, the present invention has been reached. In addition, it was found that the reaction distillation column and the three distillation towers have a specific structure, and particularly preferable when the three distillation columns are operated under specific distillation conditions. |
