titleOfInvention Urea and thiourea derivatives with NO production inhibitory activity of INOS induced by activated macrophages
abstract The present invention relates to novel urea and thiourea derivatives having inhibitory activity of NO production by iNOS induced by activated macrophages. In the present invention, as a novel iNOS inhibitor, urea and thiourea derivatives in which an alkyl or aryl substituent is introduced into nitrogen are designed and synthesized as shown in the following formula (1), and their NO inhibitory activity is confirmed. The novel urea and thiourea derivatives of the present invention can be utilized as good candidates for the development of therapeutic drugs for diseases caused by the overproduction of NO.n n n [Formula 1]n n n n n n n n R 1 , R 2 = H, C 1 -C 5 alkyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl;n n n X = O, S;n n n Y = H, CH 3, is N- carbazolyl ethyl (N -carbazolylethyl).n n n n Urea derivatives, thiourea derivatives, NO, iNOS, inhibitory activity, NO production inhibition
