| abstract |
The present invention relates to integrated circuits and methods for processing graphic patterns comprising pixels. The circuit CH is integrated in the video output coprocessor. The circuit comprises on the one hand a random access memory (RAM) for storing the patterns, on the other hand extracts the pixels as a function of the representation of the number of bits per pixel from the selected pattern and applies them to the encoding means CM. Extraction means (PE). The pixels are color characterized by the encoding means CM for display on the video screen. The circuit does not use an external memory (SDRAM) and thus can not congest the band of the video bus. |
