abstract Disclosed are a flash memory device having a verify data buffer capable of converting a use, and a program and a verification method using the same. A flash memory device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a program data buffer and a verify data buffer. The program data buffer buffers program data to be programmed into the memory cell array. The verify data buffer compares the program data with the verify data confirming that the program data was programmed correctly. All or part of the verification data buffer may be converted into a program data buffer in response to a buffer control signal. The program and the verification method in the flash memory device and the flash memory device according to the present invention operate all or part of the verification data buffer as a program data buffer, thereby simultaneously programming without having a separate additional program data buffer and verification data buffer.
