titleOfInvention | Production method of hydroxy carboxylic acids |
abstract | Hydroxy carboxylic acids, including glycolic acid, are promising compounds as polymer raw materials or pharmaceutical intermediates. However, the production method of hydroxy carboxylic acid known to date has a problem that cannot supply hydroxy carboxylic acid of high purity at low cost. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a hydroxy carboxylic acid including glycolic acid using the microorganism, which produces a microorganism having a high yield of hydroxy carboxylic acid having a small amount of contaminants in a short time. n From ethylene glycol, microorganisms which give or enhance the activity of enzymes catalyzing the reaction of glycol aldehyde are created, and hydroxy carboxylic acids including glycolic acid, which contain little contaminants, are produced in a short time using the microorganisms. The production method makes it possible to supply high-purity hydroxy carboxylic acid at low cost. n n Hydroxy carboxylic acid, glycolic acid, microorganism, glycolaldehyde |
