Disclosed is a vascular restenosis prevention and treatment agent comprising epothilone B as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, epothilone B can be prevented from vascular restenosis that occurs after vascular injury such as angioplasty, stent implantation, arterial bypass surgery including coronary artery bypass surgery, arterial-venous anastomosis, and other vascular surgery. The object can be achieved by providing a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting vascular restenosis and for preventing or treating cardiovascular diseases as an active ingredient and including a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluent. |
