titleOfInvention | Muteins of Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 |
abstract | The present invention relates to a novel mutein of human fibroblast growth factor 21 which has a reduced ability for O-glycosylation compared to wild type human FGF-21 when expressed in yeast. Disclosed herein are both proteins and respective coding nucleic acid species. The present invention also encompasses vectors and host cells for propagation of the nucleic acid sequences and for the production of the muteins. In addition, methods of treating type 2 diabetes, obesity, or metabolic syndrome are disclosed.n n n Fibroblast growth factor (FGF), O-glycosylation, mutein. |
